With all due respect, ma'am! Essex uses the Chinese word for 'senior' here (like Japanese 'senpai'). Like 'senpai' this is hard to localize, but the closest equivalent in the USN would be to use "sir" or "ma'am".

Mhm, there is some progress, and you certainly have the form down pat. Unfortunately, you're unsteady on your feet, leaving an opening for others to exploit.
