In the summer, Akagi-chan wakes up very early.

She rushes out into the garden in a flurry.

She intently observes insects like rhinoceros beetles and cicadas...

...and once she's satisfied, she sneaks back to bed to sleep again. (Some minutes later, she gets woken up by the presence of cooking.)
