A long time ago, in a certain place, there was a great battle.

That place became the final resting place of all the lifeforce spilled.

And later, that area became famous for its local specialty of inkstones.

If you used one of those inkstones, thinking it was just a normal one

apparently you could hear the sounds of the battle and see the soldiers fighting.

There are theories that those were the grudges of the slain soldiers, or perhaps tsukumogami.
