Aah...
There were lanterns hung up all around the Village, correct?
Genshousetsu.
The festival originates from Chinese Taoism.
The Empress Dowager was killed amidst political disorder and an attempted coup d'etat.
Emperor Wen managed to suppress it on the 15th day of the old calendar.
He made it a public holiday. As it took place during the full moon, it was named after the date.
The origins of the name lie in China.
Hanging lanterns all over town...
Going around solving the riddles written inside them...
Eating special dumplings that represent the full moon, and spending the day in perfect harmony.
Another legend says that one of the god Shangdi's daughters heard he was going to burn the world, and informed the people of the earth.
People lit up so many lanterns at once, it looked like the world was engulfed in flames, and Shangdi was deceived.
People also say it's the birthday of Emperor Yao, a ruler in ancient China.
I know the gist of it. The same goes for the Bon Festival.
Hahaha
Preaching to the choir, huh?
So you shady characters are all gathered again?
You're not making use of the festival to start something, are you?
Oh, Hakurei.
No need to be so cautious.
I'm just a regular spectator.
You are aware that we still have to live here.
We're the ones who'd suffer from starting a fight in a place like this.
That's right.
I have no interest in causing trouble here and earning the villagers' disfavor.
Hey, hey...
