What's this tag thing about?
The main battles will feature two opposing teams of two Trainers.
All Trainers will send out their Pokémon to fight at the same time.
Not only must the Pokémon be sufficiently powerful, but their Trainers must cooperate, lest they risk losing.
If the two members of a team are unable to place their trust in one another...
...they could not hope to achieve victory.
In other words...

Until then, everyone should begin training your Pokémon and searching for a partner.
