It bothered me that I hadn't put out a new book in such a long time after last time's Kisume book... I was planning to do one about Sekibanki's backstory, but as you know, Impossible Spell Card starring Seija happened to come out, so I was immediately filled with ideas about Double Dealing Character and decided to draw this one instead.Since my schedule was busier than ever before, I was worried until the very last moment whether I could really get this book out, but looks like I managed somehow...This time's story was centered around Shinmyoumaru's Shining Needle Sword. Now, based on her profile in DDC, the Inchling Clan was sealed in the world of oni long ago, but if the royal line had been wiped out, Shinmyoumaru wouldn't have existed, and never could've made contact with Seija.
Because of that, I started to wonder why exactly the royal family managed to survive, when I hit on the idea of the sword that fed on the Mallet's owner's blood. From that, as explained in the story, I figured that the wielder must use the oni's magic carefully or risk having to pay the price.
It'd be horrible if Seija realized this possibility and managed to steal both the Sword and the Mallet, so it's quite convenient how FS showed that the Hakurei shrine maiden was looking after them. However, ISC shows Seija using a Mallet-looking thing as one of her cheat items, so what the heck is going on there...?Although, since the Shining Needle Sword has only grown accustomed to the Inchling Clan, that practically means they really are the only ones who can use the Mallet, but I decided to leave some doors open for ISC. Personally I think that around the time of FS, the Mallet is still recovering, but by the last day of Seija's escape, that greatest cheat item of all has regained enough of its power that Shinmyoumaru can face Seija with all her cheat items, and those former fellow weaklings can settle things once and for all! That's what I wish for, anyway...!
