Sinks too deep -wrong

Rises too much -wrong

Turns away -wrong

To launch a torpedo that runs hot, straight and normal is the torpedoman's art

It should run straight, stay at a fixed depth, and head in the direction of the enemy

Once, during training, a destroyer launched a torpedo in a firing range, but

Midway through its run, the torpedo made a strange turn

It turned back to return to the destroyer herself. Now, you guys understand what I'm talking about, riiight? (Its a real story)
