Miserable MitsuhaI initially thought this is a lighthearted love comedy ACG movie, but it turned out to be Super Highschool Level despairing.A round trip from Hida to Tokyo by train costs ￥28,000, and Mitsuha mentioned before that a plate of sweets worth around ￥2,000 is enough for her to live for a month. In other words, Mitsuha used up what is equivalent to her savings from a whole year without spending a dime to look for a guy she has no means of communication with, and has only met each other in her dream. That's some determination...She searched for him for the whole day, and finally had a fateful encounter with him, yet realizes that he doesn't recognize her at all, that's awkward. So it was all a dream after all...It was just my delusion. She even gave him her kumihimo that's worth ￥12,000 (official merchandise price), then she had to go back with a messy hair and have them cut short. The depressed Mitsuha went out to take a walk with her friends, and to take a look at the meteor to ease her sadness. But then the so-called 1200 year comet that should have an extremely low possibility to fall on populated area happened to have struck her right in the head. This definitely has even lower probability than winning the lottery grand prize. She finally had a do-over, and ran through the mountains for the whole day, but she fell down hard at the most crucial moment, got hurt all over her body and found out that Taki did not write his name. After she managed to survive, she lived in Tokyo for 8 whole years, and brushed past each other at the 8th year, only to have finally met each other at the second time... Your life really is harsh, Mitsuha...She met him in person within one day of pursuit before, yet the next took 8 years.
Mitsuha's life really isn't easy...Holy shit!

Miserable Mitsuha
I initially thought this is a lighthearted love comedy ACG movie, but it turned out to be Super Highschool Level despairing.
A round trip from Hida to Tokyo by train costs ￥28,000, and Mitsuha mentioned before that a plate of sweets worth around ￥2,000 is enough for her to live for a month.
In other words, Mitsuha used up what is equivalent to her savings from a whole year without spending a dime to look for a guy she has no means of communication with, and has only met each other in her dream.
That's some determination...
She searched for him for the whole day, and finally had a fateful encounter with him, yet realizes that he doesn't recognize her at all, that's awkward.
So it was all a dream after all...
It was just my delusion.
Your life really is harsh, Mitsuha...
She met him in person within one day of pursuit before, yet the next took 8 years.
Mitsuha's life really isn't easy...
