blew (ブルー) here.It took a month later than I planned to get the finished volume out, but I ploughed on through and got it done in the end. While it is but a humble work, that you all the same for picking it up.For this, my first doujinshi, I wanted to have Shigure rely on the borrowed power of the Shinigami, and later become a real Shinigami herself. That kind of story.Seeing as lucky ships were often named Shinigami, I thought "Okay, how about I try drawing a story where she winds up as a Shinigami then", to have transcended not only the Abyssal Ships, but the existence of the shipgirls themselves, wielding powers akin to that of a monster - because of that I attached the title of "FIEND" (※Evil Spirit, demon, cold-blooded, brutal person) to it....Though honestly, I really only grabbed the name off a Boom Boom Satellite song's title.Finally, I'd like to give my thanks to my kind inker, (Fujibeji), who was the one who suggested the opening quote.As an aside, while the title comes from the song "FIENDS", I drew the contents of the manga from the atmosphere and image of the lyrics and tune of "EASY ACTION". If you play it on loop while you read the battle scene, the atmosphere might come through to you more, maybe (?)
