The geezer simply didn't have what it takes...Now hold on. What does one's talent in magic have anything to do with how fast one's illness can progress ?About that, let me explain. The Demon Hunting clan of Kirisame was originally known as an assassin collective called "Kirisabe", the name comes from how they always "cut and tear" through their enemy.
It was only recently that we began to serve the Great Yamato Imperial Court.
However, together, they have been using their power to dominate the whole of Japan. And for all of us who know their dark history, we know that the day when the Great King deemed us as a nuisance was, in a sense, inevitable.
Our clan, who was chased out of Yamato's land, finally escaped to Gensoukyou. That was 1300 years ago.It was also the same with the Hieda clan, who pride themselves in Buddhism and the art of Onmyou. They wandered to this land, after being chased by the Yamato, with them were armies of ancient magic users. Ever since, we have both been involved in the power struggle, while both fighting to make this land a safe haven for humans.
