Media asset #1
Rice Paddy Snake
Origin: East Asia Full length: 30 to 50 cm Diet: Fish, frogs, etc. Average starting cost of keeping, including equipment: ~¥12,000
Since it is an aquatic snake, it is very similar to a tropical fish in terms of keeping it as a pet. However, if the case is not tightly closed, they will easily escape.
Since they have lungs, they need space to breathe, and if their tank gets full of water, they will drown and die, so extreme care must be taken. It is also a good idea to arrange the tank with aquatic plants, driftwood, or floating islands to provide shelter and support
Although it has a goofy, frog-like face, the leisurely way it swims through the water is extremely graceful. As an aside, the anaconda, which became famous through the movie, is also a snake that primarily lives in water, so it has a comical frog-like face rather than the fierce one seen in the movie.

    Reptigirls: Colubridae edition

Snakes can be kept in basically the same way, so this time I've included the care instructions as a bonus. There are a lot of photos and stuff, so if you don't like that, be careful. I'll say it again: if you don't like snakes swallowing things whole, please be careful.

When it comes to Colubridae, I like San Francisco, rough and kunashir. Ribbon and Asian vine snake are also good, but weird snakes are a pain.
