Media asset #1
Desert Banded California Kingsnake
Origin: United States Full length: 100 to 120 cm Diet: Frozen mice Average starting cost of keeping, including equipment: ~¥16,000
Abbreviated as Karikkin. A lovable stupid snake, she it is even called Bakalikin. They bite anything and everything, whether it's a human finger or something else, and try to swallow it. No matter how you look at it, there is no way around it—it's stupid.
However, in recent years, as generations have been bred, there are many individuals that have become more well-rounded, and opinions are divided between those who say they are "safe to keep" and those who say they are "not yet."
There is the "Coastal" variety, which has a black pattern on a yellow background, and the "Desert" variety, which has a black pattern on a white background, and there are also "Albino" varieties with multiple patterns and a purple background.
Not only this species, but any snake named "Kingsnake" likes to prey on other snakes, so they can under no circumstances be allowed to be on the same space.

    Reptigirls: Colubridae edition

Snakes can be kept in basically the same way, so this time I've included the care instructions as a bonus. There are a lot of photos and stuff, so if you don't like that, be careful. I'll say it again: if you don't like snakes swallowing things whole, please be careful.

When it comes to Colubridae, I like San Francisco, rough and kunashir. Ribbon and Asian vine snake are also good, but weird snakes are a pain.
