Media asset #1
Corn Snake "Normal"
Origin: United States Full length: 100 to 120 cm Diet: Frozen mice Average starting cost of keeping, including equipment: ~¥15,000
It is the most popular pet snake, hardy, easy to keep, docile, and easy to tame. There are a great many color variations, so in addition to the fun of finding an specimen you like, you can also enjoy collecting them and creating new varieties.
Their color varieties can be roughly divided in 4 types. To wit: Red morphs (Normal, Okeetee, Amelanistic, etc.) Grey morphs (Anerythristic, Charcoal, Cinder, etc.) White morphs (Snow, Silver Queen Ghost, etc.) Yellow morphs (Caramel, Butter, Honey, etc.)
Furthermore, there are variations in patterns, and there are many types, such as motley and zigzag. After keeping them for two or three months, simply standing in front of the case will cause them to stretch their necks and flick their tongues, begging for food. This is really cute. Personally, the Miami Phase variety is my favorite.

    Reptigirls: Colubridae edition

Snakes can be kept in basically the same way, so this time I've included the care instructions as a bonus. There are a lot of photos and stuff, so if you don't like that, be careful. I'll say it again: if you don't like snakes swallowing things whole, please be careful.

When it comes to Colubridae, I like San Francisco, rough and kunashir. Ribbon and Asian vine snake are also good, but weird snakes are a pain.
