Umm... why exactly did you decide to dye your hair, Takamura-kun?

Hah? You're asking me why?

It doesn't seem like fashion was your aim, and it's not like you completely went off your rails either...

I-if it's something you don't want to talk about then I'm okay with it.

But I want to get to know you better.

...It's not a big deal.

My parents were a match of good-for-nothings, and because of that my peers were giving me the cold shoulder the entire time throughout my childhood... Even after my uncle's family took me into their care somewhere when I was in the elementary school, the way others treated me didn't change.

When I had grown up a little, I came to put a lot of effort into being serious about what I do, because I didn't want to be perceived the same way my parents were. It turned out that as long as opinions of others were concerned, stuff couldn't have worked out that easily, however.

No matter how good I tried to behave, if there was some problem, it would always get blamed on me. Like father, like son... or something like that.

And then, one day, out of the blue, I let myself go.

I decided I'd try acting accordingly to how they viewed me in the first place.

Like I do now.
