I actually had a bit of fun making this.

In case you're not familiar with the series, this is a fanart of "Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger", the 35th installment of the Super Sentai series, more popularly known in America as "Power Rangers" (which began in America with the 16th Super Sentai Series).

As the 35th anniversary series, all of the members of this super sentai are capable of transforming into any of the previous 193 rangers. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who's a fan of either super sentai or power rangers. It's fun to see them turn into all the different sentai.

Anyway, probably filling this box with too much text, but I decided to do a fanart paralleling One Piece, as people have apparently been drawing connections between Gokaiger and One Piece. I will now do a character breakdown of my interpretation on this:

-Captain Marvelous = Luffy: First member. Wears red. Headstrong. Captain. Always hungry. Showy. Former idol was a red-themed pirate.

-Joe = Zoro: Second member. Swordsman. Specializes in using more than one sword. Stern. Always training. Right-hand-man. Former bad guy (using the term relatively).

-Luka = Nami: Third member. Thief. Aggressive. Manipulative. Flirty. Money-obsessed. Originally planned to collect money to make a better home for her pillaged community.

-Don = Usopp: Fourth member. Clever. Inventor. Does ship maintenance. Clumsy. Has unorthodox fighting style. Largely comic relief character. Exasperated by actions of other members. Relatively low bounty.

-Ahim = Robin: Elegant. Polite. Somewhat soft-spoken. Home destroyed by evil government.

And, since several people have asked:

-Gai = Chopper: Childishly enthusiastic, energetic, has earnest desire to help/save people, has great infatuation with masked heroes (Sogeking/Super Sentai), inordinately impressed by Don/Usopp.

Those are my interpretations, anyway. Others have apparently connected Don to Chopper (whose poster I modeled Don's after) and Ahim to Vivi (since they're both princesses), but I like mine better.

Anyway, please comment and enjoy. :P (Lick)
