Yamato, what is the meaning of the Z flag on your left arm? This? It means, "The fate of Imperial Japan hangs on this one-Oh that? That means,
"I am shooting fishing nets."
But there aren't more fish on our plates after sorties... Must be a conspiracy...Don't interrupt me please!!Tuna right after this! That's right, but that's wrong! The Z sign normally means, "I am shooting a net," or "I require a tug." During the Battle of Tsushima, Tougo Heihachiro raised the flag with the meaning, "The Empire's fate depends on the result of this battle, let every man do his utmost duty." Onwards, the Japanese used this symbol as a prayer for victory.
