蓮台野(れんだいの)とも書くらしいですね。
遠野ではこれがなまって『デンデラノ』となったそうです。
ちなみに墓地のことだそうです。
あちこちにそういう土地はあるみたいで、蓮台野自体は遠野だけということでもないようですね。

It seems it's also written "Rendaino" (蓮台野). They say that in Tōno, this got corrupted into "Denderano". Incidentally, I hear this means a graveyard.

It appears there are plots of land like that all over the place, so it seems that Rendaino itself is not in Tōno alone.
