Almost Daily Kirisawa No. 9
Dec 19 (Thursday) Kirisawa Juuzou
@paulowniamarshNo. 10Akatsuki-san who's waiting for the SL Yamaguchi-Go at JR Yamaguchi Station. (Drawn in 54 minutes.)A steam locomotive built before the war still runs on the Yamaguchi Line. It was canceled once back in 1973, but the service restarted 6 years later and continues to this day.Yamaguchi station is said to be quite desolated. Near the station is a shopping district with its own flair, with trendy general stores and record shops. Just walking around there is fun.Ever since Kirisawa saw a photo of the Yamaguchi-Go C57 model as a child, I've always loved it. Even though its terminal station is in the neighboring Yamaguchi prefecture I still haven't gotten a chance to ride it. But while it's still in service I will find a chance to ride it for sure.Yamaguchi-Go is nicknamed the "noblewoman". It's a train worthy of this lady.
