Then it happened out of nowhere.

I did it! My cannon fire took it out!

*boom*

The feeling that you're supposed to get when you defeat an enemy,

the feeling of growing stronger, of achievement, of fulfillment, of contentment,

that feeling, was completely absent that day for some reason.

And then, instinctively, I understood,

... I can never...

... grow stronger ever again.
