Summer cicada

Living over ten years underground

Only to come out and die after one month

I've been waiting for you all along

Welcome back

Ikari Shinji-kun

We came out from the ground

We sang together

Singing restlessly, like that cicada

Repeating over and over again

Always the voice of the cicadas, singing restlessly

The summer will never end

Your voice

It's the only one I can't hear
