The original designs for Dana and Max suffered a bit from the era. Dana's design seemed landlocked in an aesthetic that didn't look futuristic, but specifically 90s. In my update, she’s wearing pants, she doesn’t have a forehead like a drive-in movie theater, she isn’t pallid in complexion, and I've ditched the combat boots. I updated Max’s design to make her look a little more sophisticated and sleek than the original. She doesn’t have heavy shoes weighing down her shape anymore, and I tapered in the top of her shirt to give more real estate to her arms. Providing some detail to her pants also helped to lengthen her form, so she looks more impressive and less squat. I didn't want to depart too heavily from who the characters were intended to be, but I thought some alterations, particularly to wardrobe, were called for.
